The Knoebels family has owned this land since the 1700's. What started out a a swimming hole has slowly become a world showcase of not only how Amusement Parks were, but how they still can be.
Knoebels is both a throw back to the past and an example of how to use modern technology for our enjoyment. You can find their history here

This site is dedicated to Knoebels Amusement Park and Campground. We hope to give you a taste of the sites and sounds of this great place that is way more then "just an amusement park".
At Knoebels you can, Ride the rides, Eat, Walk around, Eat, Sit around and watch, Eat, Swim, Play Golf, Eat, or hang out at the Camp Fire. Did I mention you could Eat?
So take a look around and see all that can be done as well as how we think it should be done t get the most out of this joyous place.

Knoebels is now open for business!!

From the Knoebels web site. : Rt 487 between Catawissa and Knoebels will remain closed. If you plan to visit us from the northeast and are traveling I-80 westbound, we advise that you continue on to Danville, the follow rt 54 E to 487 N in Elysburg.
We WILL reopen Saturday, September 17.
Saturday Noon - 8:00pm
Sunday: Noon - 7:00pm

The construction for the new Black Diamond indoor roller coaster is well under way the track is now installed and an old car sits outside of the site. The Eagles have been moved to the right of this. They are still working on Flying Turns, a sign posted says they are still working out the details and Flying Turns will be ready when it is ready. They are in no rush and want the ride to be safe.
